This lot was grown and harvested by 29 farmers in the Nyamasheke District of West province, Rwanda, under the guidance of lead farmer Egide Vuguzigire.

During processing at Rwamatamu’s Mbare washing station the cherries were spread out onto drying beds and sorted by hand to remove defects while being in exposed to the sun. After 24 hours in the sun, the cherries are heaped together and covered with a shade net for 48 hours of dry fermentation, then spread out again for full drying, which takes about 33 days.
